Hays are partnering with a successful and growing organisation to recruit a Group Procurement Category Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a dynamic team and play a key role in driving procurement strategy, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives across the business.

Your new role

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering category strategies
  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve value

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will:

  • Lead sourcing projects
  • Monitor market trends
  • Manage supplier risk
  • Support sustainability objectives

You will also provide support and guidance to a Procurement Graduate.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline
  • Procurement experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or retail
  • Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience
  • Experience developing category and sourcing strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical abilities
  • Good IT and reporting skills
  • Previous mentoring or people management experience is desirable
