Hays are partnering with a successful and growing organisation to recruit a Group Procurement Category Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a dynamic team and play a key role in driving procurement strategy, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives across the business.
Your new role
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering category strategies
- Managing supplier relationships
- Negotiating contracts
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve value
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will:
- Lead sourcing projects
- Monitor market trends
- Manage supplier risk
- Support sustainability objectives

You will also provide support and guidance to a Procurement Graduate.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline
- Procurement experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or retail
- Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience
- Experience developing category and sourcing strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical abilities
- Good IT and reporting skills
- Previous mentoring or people management experience is desirable
