Group Procurement Manager
Location: Birmingham
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the Head Office

About the Role
As a Group Procurement Manager, you'll play a key role within the Procurement function, managing a broad range of procurement categories across the business. This position will support strategic procurement delivery, strengthen supplier relationships, and provide leadership and coaching across the wider team.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders and Procurement Managers to drive procurement excellence, deliver value, and support the continued development of the function.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic category plans aligned to business objectives
- Lead supplier negotiations, tenders, contracts, and ongoing supplier relationship management
- Accountable for delivering agreed cost savings, service improvements, and procurement targets
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the Group to understand operational and commercial requirements
- Track market and commodity trends to support commercial decision making and risk mitigation strategies
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to less experienced team members, including direct line management responsibilities
About You
We are looking for a proactive and personable procurement professional with strong commercial awareness and proven experience operating within a strategic procurement environment. You will have experience managing procurement activity across multiple categories and be confident building strong internal and external relationships.
Key Skills
- Previous experience in a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement Buyer position
- Direct line management experience
- Strong procurement knowledge across supplier negotiations, contract management, tendering, and category management
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers at a senior level
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- MCIPS qualification (or working towards) is advantageous but not essential
