Position Summary
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Group Property/GBS Team in either Poland or the UK.
Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy & Performance, the Group Property Capital Controller ensures that property-related capital expenditure is managed, tracked, monitored, and deployed in line with investment case requirements and agreed affordability targets. This drives transformation of infrastructure, revenue growth, and the scalability of our burgeoning FTSE-100 business.
Ideal candidates will excel in financial analysis, data accuracy, cross-functional coordination, and process discipline. They will ensure our global property investments are effectively governed and handed over in support of our strategic operational objectives.
The role delivers key operational support to Group Property and the Central Finance Capital Manager across the capital lifecycle, including:
- Compiling accurate financial data
- Supporting the property-related 5-year projective forecasting process
- Maintaining rigorous attention to detail across all property investments.
- Leading on team training, ensuring best-practice standardisation and sound investment performance guidance.

What You Will Be Doing
As Group Property Capital Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Investment Committee (IC) Preparation: Collaborate with global business and investment case teams to compile and refine submissions for the Investment Committee.
- Direct Scheme Support: Develop and finalise financial inputs for GP-funded investments, ensuring compliance with investment documentation and associated regulations.
- Capital Data Preparation: Lead data validation, consolidation, and reporting for accurate and timely GP financial models.
- Business Case Lead: Coordinate and prioritise property-related demand between Group Property and business units to maintain clear governance processes.
- Governance & Assurance: Drive improvements in reporting standards and efficiency of the capital lifecycle, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Tracking & Monitoring: Manage investments to meet annual planning (AP) budgets, supplementary quarterly investments, and long-term investment frameworks.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Manage data integrity, especially for forecasts like property sales, and ensure assumptions are robust and aligned with reporting specifications.
- Champion Process Improvements: Drive initiatives to streamline capital analytics, reporting, and governance, reducing unnecessary effort and maximising innovation.
Position Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) or pursuing formal accreditation in finance, commercial management, or related discipline
- Broadened business-focused data analysis skills, with an ability to refine business-capital inputs.
- (In lieu of formal degrees) Substantial business experience in finance, management, and data handling — no educational requirement when appropriate experience is in place.
- Strong proficiency in key financial software tools, spreadsheet models, and related data systems.

✔ Direct financial and capital management experience ✔ Professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, AAT, etc.) — highly beneficial ✔ Familiarity with capital investment processes, principles, and lifecycle governance highly advantageous
