Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Property/GBS Team in Poland or the UK, reporting to the Vice President of Strategy & Performance.
The Group Property Capital Controller ensures that property-related capital expenditure is efficiently managed, tracked, and deployed in alignment with investment case requirements and agreed affordability targets. This supports Rolls-Royce’s (RR) infrastructure modernisation, operational efficiency, and future capabilities as a growing FTSE-5 business.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in:
- Financial preparation
- Data accuracy
- Cross-functional coordination
- Process discipline
You will provide critical support to Group Property and the Central Finance Capital Manager throughout the capital lifecycle, focusing on:
- Compiling accurate data
- Validating property-related 5-Year Planning (5YP) forecasting
- Ensuring rigorous adherence to strategic priorities
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting capital data validation and model consolidation
- Leading training for team members
- Providing sound investment guidance for best practice and standardisation in property investments

What You Will Be Doing
As Group Property Capital Controller, your core responsibilities include:

Investment Committee (IC) Preparation
- Collaborate with global Business & Investment Case teams to prepare inputs for IC submissions.

Direct Scheme Support
- Establish and prepare financial inputs, documentation, and compliance requirements for Group Property capital investments.

Capital Data Preparation
- Lead validation and consolidation of GP-related data and forecasting models, ensuring reporting accuracy against timelines.

Business Case Lead
- Manage and prioritise property investment demands, ensuring governance and adherence to approval processes.

Governance & Assurance
- Drive improvements to reporting standards and capital lifecycle processes to guarantee right-first-time quality.

Tracking & Monitoring
- Ensure investments remain aligned with annual, quarterly, and yearly budget commitments against agreed targets.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support
- Maintain data integrity (e.g., property sale projections) to underpin robust forecasting and reporting for GP.

Champion Process Improvements
- Lead initiatives to streamline data management, reporting efficiency, and governance frameworks.
Position Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) or progressing toward relevant qualifications in Financial or Commercial disciplines.
- Strong breadth of engineering or finance experience with a focus on business data analysis.
- Alternative: Extensive business experience with a strong emphasis on finance and data management.
- Proficient in financial systems, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and data tools.

Preferred Requirements
- Direct experience in financial & capital management.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or AAT.
- Knowledge of capital investment processes (advantageous).
