Group Reporting Accountant –Scotland-Based role (£60,000+)
About the Role
Are you a qualified accountant seeking a challenging role with exposure to group reporting, statutory accounts, audit, tax, systems improvement, and international business partnering? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established international organisation, where you’ll play a central role in the Group Finance function, supporting operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Based in Scotland, this position offers close collaboration with senior finance leadership while developing deep expertise in group financial reporting and consolidation processes—ideal for an ambitious finance professional seeking to broaden their expertise.
The Opportunity
Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a global company to recruit its next Group Reporting Accountant. Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role will focus on:
- Monthly group consolidations
- Statutory reporting
- Audit coordination
- Overhead reporting
- Driving systems and process improvements
This role provides significant exposure to a multi-entity, multi-currency environment, making it perfect for a finance professional eager to grow their technical accounting skills and build global stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Group Consolidation:
- Own and manage the monthly consolidation process, ensuring accurate data integration across entities in Oracle.
- Overhead & Financial Reporting:
- Develop end-to-end group overhead reporting (actuals, forecasts, budgets) and translate numbers into actionable insights for budget holders.
- Annual Statutory Accounts:
- Prepare the annual group statutory accounts, collaborating closely with the Group Financial Controller.
- Audit Support:
- Act as the central audit liaison, coordinating between internal finance teams and external auditors to ensure smooth year-end processes.
- Tax Compliance:
- Assemble and consolidate UK tax return data, supporting external tax advisors through completion.
- Systems & Process Improvement:
- Review and enhance group finance operations, identifying efficiency gains and implementing improved workflows.
- Business Partnershiping:
- Serve as the go-to Oracle and finance process expert for subsidiary teams, with occasional UK/international travel for support.
- Treasury Support:
- Assist group treasury, including payments and general ledger postings as needed.

Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent qualification).
- Experience with large ERP or accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
- Industry experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Multi-currency consolidation experience (or willingness to learn).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally as required.
