Our Client:

Mackie Myers have partnered with a growing international organisation to appoint a Group Reporting Accountant into their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a dynamic business.

The Role:

The Group Reporting Accountant will support the delivery of accurate and timely group financial reporting, statutory reporting and management information. Working closely with finance teams across multiple entities, the role will also contribute to technical accounting, audit and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Duties:

  • Support the monthly group reporting process, including consolidated management reporting.
  • Prepare balance sheet, cash flow and management reporting with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Perform intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review and validate financial information submitted by multiple business entities.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and disclosures in line with UK GAAP.
  • Support the external audit process by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor queries.
  • Produce financial analysis and reporting for senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and month-end efficiency.
  • Support finance transformation projects and undertake ad hoc financial analysis as required.

The Successful Candidate:

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Experience within Group Reporting or Financial Reporting in a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP
  • Experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • Strong management reporting and financial analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP or finance systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
