This is an exciting opportunity for a risk professional looking to broaden their exposure to enterprise risk management across international insurance and reinsurance operations while working closely with senior stakeholders across all three lines of defence.
The Role
The Group Risk Analyst will play an integral role in embedding and strengthening MNK Group's Risk Management Framework (RMF) across the organisation. Operating within the Second Line of Defence, you will work closely with business functions and control teams to support the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks across the Group.
You will be responsible for maintaining and challenging risk registers, supporting the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), analysing risk events and breaches, and performing stress testing, scenario analysis, and targeted risk reviews. This role offers broad exposure across the business, providing valuable insight into underwriting, operational, financial, compliance, and strategic risks while contributing directly to risk-based decision-making at a Group level.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Framework & Risk Assessment
- Support the ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Group Risk Management Framework.
- Maintain risk taxonomies, appetite metrics, policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and enhance the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process across Group entities.
- Challenge the quality and completeness of risk and control assessments conducted by first-line teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk registers, ensuring risks, controls, actions, and ownership responsibilities are clearly documented.
Risk Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor and analyse risk exposures across the Group against approved risk appetite and tolerance levels.
- Investigate material changes in the risk profile and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Design, monitor, and analyse Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and associated risk trends.
- Investigate breaches, adverse trends, threshold exceedances, and emerging risk themes.
- Analyse risk events, incidents, near misses, and control failures to identify root causes and recurring issues.
- Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, reverse stress testing, and emerging risk assessments.
- Deliver targeted risk assessments and deep-dive reviews across key risk areas, including:
- Underwriting Risk
- Reserving Risk
- Credit Risk
- Market Risk
- Liquidity Risk
- Operational Risk
- Conduct Risk
- Outsourcing & Third-Party Risk

Risk Reporting
- Produce clear, insightful, and decision-useful risk reporting for senior management and governance committees.
- Prepare risk dashboards, management information, and risk profile reporting.
- Provide robust and well-supported risk analysis for Risk Committees and other governance forums.
- Monitor and report on management actions arising from risk reviews, assurance activities, incidents, and risk events through to completion.
Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Support second-line assurance reviews and thematic risk assessments.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend practical, proportionate improvements.
- Monitor industry, market, and regulatory developments to assess potential impacts on MNK Group's risk profile.
- Support the enhancement of risk tools, dashboards, analytics, and management reporting capabilities.
- Promote continuous improvement of risk management practices across the organisation.
What You'll Bring
Essential Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Risk Management within Financial Services, ideally Insurance, Reinsurance, or an MGA environment.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles and frameworks.
- Experience supporting Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk registers, and risk appetite frameworks.
- Experience in risk identification, risk assessment, risk quantification, monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks and how Risk Management Frameworks operate in practice.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience
- Insurance, Reinsurance, Lloyd's Market, or MGA sector experience.
- Exposure to enterprise risk management across underwriting and delegated authority environments.
- Experience with operational resilience, outsourcing, third-party risk, and conduct risk.
- Familiarity with ORSA processes, capital management, and emerging regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of ESG and climate-related risk considerations.
- Experience working across multiple legal entities or international jurisdictions.
- Professional certifications such as IRM, FRM, PRM, CGMA, or similar risk qualifications (completed or in progress).
