Group Risk Proposition Consultant – Permanente
About the Role
At Zurich Corporate Risk (ZCR), we’re expanding rapidly due to our innovative and award-winning propositions in the group insurance market. If you’re passionate about customer-centric business development, dynamic proposition management, and diverse working styles, this is a great opportunity to join our Market Management team.

What You’ll Be Doing
As Group Risk Proposition Consultant, your primary focus will be on strategy, innovation, and execution within the flexible benefits sector. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing a 3-year proposition strategy, refining plans with stakeholder input
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to identify and develop new, enhanced propositions/features
- Crafting business cases, assessing feasibility, and justifying investment through risk, compliance, and market competitive analysis
- Identifying and mitigating risks when designing new propositions, ensuring alignment with Organisational Policies
- Analysing customer needs, competitor positioning, and internal perspectives (costs/risk) to guide new propositions
- Researching market trends, primary data sources, and industry best practices to recommend improvements
- Reviewing and analysing business models to inform senior-level process/product development
- Supporting operationalisation — process implementation, system configuration, vendor management, and training
- Acting as an internal subject-matter expert (SIM) on group risk propositions

Ideal Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, you should ideally have:
- Substantial experience in group risk or corporate protection, including familiarity with the flexible benefits sector
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., GR1, FPC) and/or project management expertise
- Strong numeracy & literacy skills and ability to produce clear, structured reports
- Proven track record of working under deadline pressure and delivering under constraints
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement (both internal and intermediary/customer relationships)
- Ability to self-manage and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
Experience working with intermediaries or customer-facing roles is highly desirable.
