Group Sustainability Manager | Birmingham | Competitive Salary
We are looking for an experienced Group Sustainability Manager to lead the end-to-end sustainability agenda for a business with an international footprint.
This is a senior role reporting into the leadership team with regular engagement at SLT level.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading the Group's sustainability programme across reporting, strategy, and operational delivery. This includes owning the ESG reporting function (CSRD/ESRS compliance, GHG emissions inventory across Scope 1, 2 and 3, and annual sustainability disclosures), developing the Group's sustainability strategy and transition plan, and driving emissions reduction initiatives across operations, supply chain, and products.

You will manage relationships with external auditors and assurance providers, oversee additional reporting requirements including EU Taxonomy and CBAM, and act as the central point of accountability for sustainability across the business, from SLT level through to customers and regulators.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Professional qualification desirable but not essential (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIPS, MISEP, CEnv or equivalent)
Experience
- Significant ESG/sustainability reporting experience in a corporate environment
- Strong working knowledge of CSRD/ESRS and broader ESG frameworks
- GHG accounting expertise across all scopes
- Experience managing ESG data across multiple sites or business units
- Auditor and assurance process experience

- Advanced Excel skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-evolving regulatory environment
