Group Tax Manager
UK Group Tax Manager (Interim / Fixed-Term Contract)
£600–£800 per day 9-month fixed-term position Gloucestershire-based (flexibility for fully remote working considered)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced UK Group Tax Manager to join the Group Finance team of a large multinational business. This hands-on role offers broad exposure across:
- Tax reporting
- Compliance
- Governance
- Advisory activities
The role involves close collaboration with UK and US tax teams, senior finance stakeholders, auditors, and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support quarterly and annual tax reporting processes.
- Review tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and effective tax rate analysis.
- Oversee UK tax compliance activities and support wider US tax reporting requirements.
- Provide tax advice on restructurings, acquisitions, business transactions, and cross-border activities.
- Manage tax governance, controls, documentation, and audit processes.
- Support international tax initiatives, transfer pricing, and wider tax planning.

Requirements
Essential
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent tax professional qualification.
- Strong UK corporate tax experience, ideally within a multinational group, listed business, or professional services environment.
- Clear demonstrated experience in tax accounting, reporting, compliance, and advisory work.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build credibility with stakeholders quickly.
- Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, commercial approach to problem-solving.

Highly Desirable
- Experience in international tax and transfer pricing.
- Knowledge of Pillar Two and BEPS frameworks.
- Familiarity with US GAAP/ASC 740.
- Understanding of UK VAT processes.
