I am exclusively supporting a leading UK multi-site business to appoint an experienced Group Treasury Manager to join its Group Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong treasury and financial control experience to take ownership of the Group's treasury function while partnering closely with senior finance leadership.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in managing liquidity, cash flow, treasury operations, tax compliance, and financial controls, providing insightful analysis that supports strategic decision-making across the business.

The Opportunity

This is a broad and commercially focused role where you'll be responsible for ensuring robust treasury operations, maintaining strong banking relationships, overseeing tax compliance, and driving continuous improvements across finance processes. You'll also support the development of a junior team member while working closely with the CFO and wider Finance Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Group's daily cash flow, liquidity, and working capital position.
  • Produce short and medium-term cash flow forecasts and provide insightful treasury reporting.
  • Monitor banking facilities, debt, covenant compliance, and funding requirements.
  • Manage foreign exchange exposure and execute hedging activities where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors.
  • Oversee corporate tax processes, VAT returns, and HMRC compliance alongside external advisors.
  • Lead treasury and tax month-end activities, ensuring robust balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
  • Ensure treasury policies and governance frameworks remain effective and compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to improve treasury, reporting, and finance processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight to support business performance and strategic decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
