- Ensure groups and events are booked following the correct booking procedures.
- Hospitably host show-a-rounds of the hotel, promoting relevant facilities and services, and answering client questions to assist with decision making and progress booking conversion.
- Support accurate reporting of sales by keeping trackers up to date with conversion activities.
- Manage client expectations by coordinating booking stages and requirements in order to complete function sheets with final details and obtain correct payments.
- Proactively identify operational challenges associated with bookings, working with relevant departments and the main organising client to apply alternative solutions.
- Utilise available opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell packages and services, based on client requirements.
- Accordingly update group bedroom blocks and assigned meeting space for groups and events.
- Communicate effective handover through confirmed final function sheets for operational team use.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
