Groups Manager

Millennium Hotel and Resorts UK are looking for the Groups Manager who will be part of their Event booking centre team. This role will support the Groups department in maximising revenue and fostering strong client relationships through effective and efficient sales techniques and strategies. This role involves providing excellent customer service to all customers at all times.

As a Groups Manager, you will work closely with our clients, agents, and team members to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of all aspects of the event.

Groups Manager key responsibilities are:

  • Ensure you are managing and converting incoming Groups Business enquiries according to department standards, including but not limited to:
    • proposal negotiation
    • upsell opportunities
    • revenue conversion
    • volume conversion
    • speed of conversion
    • TENT business management
  • Managing site visits – for clients, bookers and event suppliers
  • Ensure you have up-to-date knowledge of competitor hotels and venues
  • To ensure team manage any multi-property enquiries in a sensible manner
  • Responsible for supervising all professional post-contract communication, queries, amendments and planning with the client, right up to their event date
  • Resolve any client disputes and complaints in a professional manner and within the guidelines issued
  • To work on behalf of, sell and convert the Group's business facility.
  • Support the accurate production of daily, weekly & monthly management information.
  • Working with central team and management teams to propose efficiencies and improvements as appropriate, and adapt according to system and process changes required for the department.
