About the role

The Growth Hub represents the College of Business’s “research signature” and is a crucial vehicle in elevating excellent research across the college in the area of responsible growth for businesses and society and making it visible to important stakeholders inside and outside the College and University.

In this role you will work closely with senior colleagues including the Growth Hub Director and the Dean of Research and Enterprise to support the translation and dissemination of research linked to responsible growth. The role focuses on identifying high-quality research, developing translation templates, and transforming academic outputs into engaging content for practitioner and policy audiences, ensuring alignment with external priorities such as government strategy.

You will play a central role in managing and promoting these outputs, including editing and rewriting research, coordinating revisions with authors, and overseeing publication through appropriate channels. The post also involves planning communications activity, contributing to wider engagement initiatives, supporting project delivery across competing priorities, and representing the Growth Hub at meetings and external events.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
