Growth/Marketing Lead

London (Hybrid – 3 days minimum, ideally 5)
£80,000–£110,000 + Equity

SR2 are exclusively partnering with one of the UK's most exciting AI startups to hire their next Growth Lead.

This isn't another marketing job. This is an opportunity to become one of the first commercial hires in a venture-backed AI business that has already achieved what most startups spend years chasing - product-market fit, profitability, and an impressive list of enterprise customers.

Backed by one of the world's most prestigious startup accelerators, our client has built an AI platform that's transforming how highly regulated organisations navigate complex compliance challenges. Following exceptional early success, they're now looking for someone to build and scale their growth engine from the ground up.

If you love operating in ambiguity, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and get excited by building rather than maintaining, this could be the career-defining move you've been waiting for.

Why this opportunity stands out:

  • Join a profitable, venture-backed AI startup at an incredibly exciting stage of growth.
  • Work directly alongside an ambitious founder who values ideas over hierarchy.
  • Own the entire inbound growth strategy—not just execute someone else's playbook.
  • Build a marketing function from scratch with genuine autonomy.
  • Clear progression into a Head of Growth or Head of Marketing position as the company scales.
  • Equity opportunity alongside a highly competitive salary.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role

You'll become the driving force behind the company's inbound growth strategy. Rather than inheriting an established marketing machine, you'll build one.

One day you could be writing thought leadership content, the next launching webinars, organizing executive dinners, experimenting with SEO and AI search optimisation, securing podcast partnerships, or identifying entirely new growth channels.

The founders aren't looking for someone to simply execute tasks—they want someone who spots opportunities, creates ideas, and makes things happen.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and owning the inbound growth engine from the ground up.
  • Developing content that positions the business as a market leader.
  • Improving SEO, GEO, and AI search visibility.
  • Running webinars, executive events, dinners, and conference activity.
  • Developing strategic partnerships and co-marketing initiatives.
  • Experimenting across multiple acquisition channels to identify scalable growth.
  • Working closely with the founder to shape commercial growth strategy.
  • Measuring results, iterating quickly, and continuously improving performance.

We're keen to speak with people who have

  • Experience working within fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
  • A track record of building things from scratch rather than simply managing existing functions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent written communication and content creation skills.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a genuine bias towards action.
  • Experience across demand generation, content, partnerships, events, or growth marketing.

Particularly interesting backgrounds include

  • Former founders or entrepreneurial professionals.
  • Strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, etc.).
  • Investment banking or other high-performance environments.
  • Early-stage SaaS or AI startups.
  • FinTech, RegTech, or B2B technology businesses.

Sector experience isn't essential. Intelligence, ambition, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn are.

What success looks like:

  • You'll help transform inbound into a major driver of revenue by building repeatable, scalable growth initiatives that generate high-quality enterprise opportunities.
  • You'll be trusted to think independently, move quickly, and have a genuine influence on the future direction of the business.

Package

  • £80,000–£110,000 base salary (flexible for exceptional candidates).
  • Equity opportunity.
  • Hybrid working (minimum three days in the London office, ideally more).
  • Direct access to founders and significant influence over business growth.
  • Outstanding long-term career progression within a rapidly scaling AI company.

If you're looking for a role where your ideas genuinely matter, where you'll have ownership from day one, and where you'll help shape the future of a high-growth AI business, we'd love to hear from you.
