Who we are

We’re an employee-owned agency of technology, design and delivery experts.

We work with organisations in the public, non-profit and private sectors that provide digital public services across the UK. Something we call the digital public realm.

We take ideas and problems and turn them into live services that work. With a track record of designing, building and supporting vital services that fit seamlessly into users’ lives.

Role summary

dxw has ambitious plans to grow beyond our core public sector markets and expand our reach across the digital public realm – working with organisations beyond central government that share a public service character. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting business development professional to help open up these opportunities and win new business in sectors aligned with dxw’s strengths.

This is a critical role focused on identifying, prospecting, and closing new business in priority sectors where we see strong potential for growth. The ideal candidate will be a true ‘hunter’ who can combine strategic market research with tenacious, hands-on lead generation and full-cycle sales management to open up new revenue streams for the company.

They will build on dxw’s strong reputation in the public sector, our published case studies across sectors including housing, health, charities and education, our employee-owned values, and the clear strategic direction emerging from recent work to identify priority markets.

This role will initially report into the CEO before moving into our Client Services team.

Key responsibilities

New markets and lead generation

  • Target market research: Independently research and analyse priority sectors across the digital public realm to identify viable new clients, with an initial focus on transport and scope to expand into adjacent areas as the strategy evolves.
  • Proactive prospecting: Be the primary driver of new business by generating leads in emerging sectors, leveraging dxw’s track record and intentional growth strategy, using a variety of outbound methods, including cold calling, direct email outreach, social media engagement and attending industry networking events/conferences.
  • Data strategy: Establish and maintain a clean database of new market prospects, tracking all engagement, qualification data, and sales activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
