Experienced GRP Fibreglass Laminators Sought – Coventry-based Opportunity
We’re partnering with a manufacturing leader to recruit experienced GRP Fibreglass Laminators for a 12-week temp-to-perm role. Join us in producing high-quality composite products with exceptional career progression.
Role Overview
This hands-on position embeds you in a modern manufacturing environment, where you’ll prepare and apply fibreglass materials to moulds using advanced laminating techniques. Key aspects include:
- Working from lay-up specifications, drawings, and quality standards
- Mastering techniques like brush gel coating, wet hand lay-up, and spray lamination
- Ensuring adherence to strict safety and quality protocols

Key Responsibilities
You’ll excel in the following critical tasks:
- Mould preparation for gel application
- Reading and interpreting lay-up specifications and technical drawings
- Applying gel coats professionally
- Performing laminating processes, including:
- Hand tool operation
- Brush and spray lamination techniques
- Detecting and correcting laminating defects
- Working with core materials and bonding pastes
- Utilising patterns and jigs for pattern alignment
Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for those with:
- Proven experience as a GRP Sprayer, GRP Laminator, or Fibreglass Technician
- A strong attention to detail and a methodical, systematic approach
- Excellent team player skills with clear communication
- Proficiency in GRP laminating processes, including trimming and grinding
- Familiarity with quality control procedures

Salary & Contract
- Salary: £12.95 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Contract Type: 12-week temp to perm conversion
