Meta GSOC Lead, EMEA
Meta is seeking an experienced Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Lead to oversee physical security operations across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. In this role, you will serve as a senior operational lead for real-time threat monitoring, incident coordination, and security intelligence functions that protect Meta's people, facilities, and business operations throughout EMEA. You will drive operational excellence within the GSOC, ensuring consistent, high-quality security responses to a complex and evolving regional threat landscape.
GSOC Lead, EMEA Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day GSOC operations across the EMEA region, ensuring 24/7 monitoring of physical security threats, incidents, and alerts affecting Meta personnel, facilities, and assets
- Serve as the primary escalation point for physical security incidents across EMEA, coordinating response efforts with Global Security, Legal, HR, Communications, and other cross-functional partners
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve GSOC standard operating procedures, response playbooks, and escalation protocols tailored to EMEA-specific risks and regulatory environments
- Analyze regional threat intelligence from open-source, government, and partner sources to produce timely situational awareness reports and security advisories for leaders and stakeholders
- Oversee the performance of GSOC analysts and contracted security operations personnel, providing guidance, feedback, and operational direction to ensure consistent service delivery
- Design and facilitate tabletop exercises and operational drills to test GSOC readiness against realistic EMEA threat scenarios, including geopolitical instability, civil unrest, and targeted threats
- Leverage security technology platforms, including access control, video management, and mass notification systems, to enhance GSOC monitoring and response capabilities
- Conduct post-incident reviews and contribute lessons learned to improve GSOC processes, documentation, and cross-functional coordination
- Integrate AI-enabled tools and workflows into GSOC operations to improve threat detection, reporting efficiency, and analyst productivity

Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in physical security operations, global security operations center management, or a related security discipline within a multinational environment
- Experience leading or supervising security operations teams in a 24/7 operational environment, including incident command and escalation management
- Experience with physical security technologies including access control systems, video surveillance platforms, and mass notification tools
- Experience analyzing and synthesizing threat intelligence to produce actionable security assessments and briefings for varied audiences
- Experience coordinating cross-functional incident response efforts involving Legal, HR, Communications, and facilities stakeholders across multiple geographies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
- Experience deploying or optimizing AI-assisted tools within a security operations or threat monitoring context
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Familiarity with EMEA regulatory frameworks and regional security risk environments including geopolitical, civil unrest, and terrorism-related threats
- Experience in a global/multi-site enterprise security operation
