The Role: Export Administrator (Hybrid Flexibility Available)
A full-time (36.5 hours/week) role based at our Ripley site, where you’ll join the Ripley Group Sales Support (GSS) team—a blend of logistics management and customer service. Responsible for co-ordinating transport, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance for:
- Samples
- Couriers
- Raw materials
- Work-in-progress goods
- Finished products

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely exports (incl. WIP, finished goods, samples/couriers) meet customer deadlines while complying with HMRC regulations and Incoterms 2020.
- Source transportation quotes for export/import orders (UK-based), liaising with freight forwarders.
- Arrange customs clearances (and associated documentation) for both exports/imports—validating accuracy and hull-style coordination with carriers.
- Liaise collaboratively with:
- Forbo supply-chain colleagues (to ensure on-time dispatch orders).
- Forbo Customer Service (planning/coordination of shipments).
- Collect & analyse data on export performance to support process improvements.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A professional work ethic, ability to manage tight deadlines and high-pressure scenarios with clarity—attention to detail is critical.
- Organisational strength, balancing complex workflows through structured approaches (SOPs, templates, mastering country-specific guidance).
- Exceptional communication:
- Written, verbal, and listening skills (all levels of interaction, internal/external).
- Interpersonal expertise to build trust, align colleagues, and resolve challenges collaboratively.
- Technical proficiency: Experience with core business tools preferred— especially:
- Email, Microsoft Teams, SAP, Trello, Word, Excel.
- Prior logistics/export role experience is desirable (but not mandatory).
- Qualifications: GCSE passes in Maths and English.
