At Gradient Labs, we’re building an AI agent to redefine customer experience and operational efficiency in the financial services sector.

Founded in 2023, we’ve quickly gone from an idea to a growing team with customers you know (and probably love). Our powerful AI agent is unique: it’s the only AI operations agent built specifically for financial services, handling even the trickiest, high-stakes customer queries safely and effectively. Crucially, it serves as one unified agent across the entirety of your customer operations, giving businesses the comprehensive visibility and control they need to trust all outcomes.

We’re a small but mighty team of builders from leading companies like Monzo, Pleo, and Google. If you’re excited to tackle some of the hardest problems in AI and help shape the future of customer operations and experience, we’d love to hear from you.

🎯 How You’ll Make An Impact

This is a foundational role for our GTM motion. You'll own the systems and signals behind how we identify, segment, and reach our ICP, and you'll be a critical partner to our AEs and our Head of Marketing in turning those signals into pipeline.

Most of the day-to-day work comes down to:

Building super-qualified, relevant lists. There are fifty ways to build a list, but what we actually want is volume within a tightly defined core ICP. You'll define the right way to do that for each of our segments and run it consistently. Owning the outbound motion end to end. Run our outbound-at-scale, combining email and LinkedIn into multi-touch plays that land with our personas. Manage domains and deliverability, own reply handling, and audit success. You should pause what isn't working, and double down on what is. Supporting sales with pipe-gen. Partner closely with our AEs on account strategy. Surface intent signals, prioritise the right accounts, and make sure no signal goes to waste. Building a system that compounds. We've already got a lot built across our stack, but some of it isn't structured the right way yet. You'll reason about the right shape, stitch the disparate tools together, and keep iterating so the whole thing gets better month over month. Staying on the frontier of GTM and AI tooling. This space is moving every week. We want someone genuinely obsessed with the latest, who's evaluating new tools, swapping things out when the better option arrives, and using AI as a real thought partner across everything they do.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

💡 What You’ll Bring

Real enterprise sales understanding. You've sat close to AEs in a previous life, ideally at an early-stage startup. You know what a good account looks like, what makes a sequence land, and what wastes a rep's time. Fluency in our core stack. HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, Instantly, CommonRoom, and La Growth Machine. If a tool is new to you, you go in, learn it, and figure it out without booking a walkthrough. You're never married to one tool, and you're quick to swap when something better lands. Systems-building instinct. You think in workflows and systems. You can take a half-built thing, see what it should look like, and build it into a clean system that compounds. Genuine AI fluency. You use AI every day as the way you work. You're great at prompting, comfortable building small agents, and creative about what AI can take off your plate. You stay close to what's new and bring it back to the team. Super fast pace and bias to action. Fast is your default. You estimate honestly, sequence well, and you'd rather try something today than schedule a meeting about it next week. High agency and ownership. You evaluate whether your work is producing results. If something isn't working, you flag it early with a recommendation rather than more activity. You retain direction the first time and follow through on what you commit to. Clean communication. You write structured updates in Notion or in-line comments rather than long Slack messages. Your outbound copy doesn't need to be rewritten. Comfort with ambiguity. You're at home in early-stage chaos and don't wait to be told what's important.
