GTM Manager Gaming
London
Currys London Campus at Waterloo
Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Full Time
Grade 4
At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.
You'll be working in the Gaming squad, with a role that's pivotal to how we bring the newest gaming hardware, titles, and accessories to life for our customers, through innovative campaigns and best-in-class execution.
This exciting role within the commercial team reports to the Senior GTM Manager. You'll support them in developing the blueprint for gaming (four major campaigns each year), combining customer and competitor insight with financial imperatives to ensure the category squad develops a strategy that maximises both CSAT and EBIT. You'll act as the lynchpin between all functional representatives in the squad and beyond, pulling together annual, quarterly and in-season initiatives — from console launches to exclusive editions — to maximise performance. You'll also arm the category buyer with what they need to negotiate strong supplier funding support.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Working with the customer insight team to ensure the squad understands the gaming landscape: customers, competitors, trends, financial performance, range performance, threats and opportunities to support the development of the annual category strategy
- Creating the blueprint for the annual gaming category strategy
- Using insight, working with the buyer, planner, services and credit representatives to define the category's annual 'proposition' - the best combination of range, price, availability, services and credit
- Working with channel representatives and brand & marketing to define the right shopping journey across all channels, including training and engaging customer-facing colleagues in the gaming selling journey
- Working with central planning and brand & marketing to develop the 'Go to Market' strategy and plan for gaming, in line with the annual events calendar and key release dates
- Supporting the squad in landing all major initiatives, including console launches, exclusive bundles and major new title releases
- Championing great customer experiences in all channels
- Bringing analytics and insight from online and customer teams to support day-to-day trading, events and promotional decisions
- Working with the Senior E-commerce Manager to understand category KPI dashboards and reporting metrics
- Co-ordinating responses to major marketing briefs across gaming, using the appropriate templates
- Co-ordinating customer experience activities in gaming
- Working with peer groups to lead cross-functional delivery of the customer journey for your Head of Category

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
