Guest Booker

Location: Remote

Commitment: Approximately 3–5 hours per week

Contract: Voluntary

Welcome to CISES

The Centre for International Security and Economic Strategy (CISES) is a British think tank producing research, analysis and media on international security, defence, geopolitics and economic strategy.

Alongside our research publications, CISES produces expert interviews and analysis featuring academics, policymakers, military practitioners and industry leaders, including recent projects such as our Paper Dragon interview series on Chinese weapons exports and regular long-form interviews covering key developments in international affairs.

The Role: Guest Bookers

As our media output expands, we are recruiting two Guest Bookers to assist with identifying, securing, and coordinating interviews with leading experts across the policy community.

In this role—supported by the Director of Policy and Programme Directors—you’ll:

  • Research prospective guests based on editorial briefs.
  • Manage professional outreach and coordinate interviews from initial inquiry to confirmation.
  • Prepare concise briefing notes that enable engaged, informed discussions with interviewers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
