Gyms Duty Manager

Role Overview
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager.
We are looking for a manager with experience of maintaining and developing the standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times.
- Opening and closing the site when required due to operational hours of the business. Expectation to work early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
- Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks.
- Report and chase all defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
- Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
- Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
- Ensure that the whole of the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness. Maintain outside contract cleaning hours.
- Ensure the in-house cleaners (General Assistant) are cleaning to the highest standard.
- Ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members.
- Always deliver outstanding member service.
- Help create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy themselves whilst at work.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties/projects/meetings that may be required.
- Always be an ambassador of JD Gyms.

- Must have experience in a management position within a leisure-related industry. Ideally as an Assistant Manager, helping to oversee all business areas within a leisure facility or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational role.
- Must be passionate about customer service and an inspirational leader in management.
- Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Experience in driving sales and helping to coordinate local marketing activity.
- Manage a successful team.
