International Scientific Affairs Manager – Gynecological Surgical Solutions
Location: International (UK/Belgium HQ with frequent travel) Company: Hologic Dedication: Enabling healthier lives through women’s health solutions
About the Role
Hologic improves global women’s health by advancing gynecological solutions through innovative technologies. Our Gynecological Surgical Solutions portfolio—including NovaSure endometrial ablation, MyoSure tissue removal systems, and related hysteroscopic technologies—aims to deliver minimally invasive management for abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, and other benign gynecological conditions. These technologies support clinical excellence, reduce invasive procedures, and elevate quality of life.
We seek an International Scientific Affairs Manager focused on this portfolio to:
- Be the scientific and clinical expert for our product range
- Drive the generation, interpretation, and communication of high-quality evidence
- Ensure the safe, effective, and evidence-based adoption of our technologies globally
- Engage with international Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Support advisory boards and investigator-initiated research
- Align with clinical guidelines and standards of care
This high-visibility, cross-functional role bridges science, clinical practice, and business in a market-leading women’s health company.
What To Expect
- A strategic and influential role at the intersection of scientific rigor, clinical excellence, and business strategy
- Collaboration with international KOLs, professional societies, and centres of excellence in gynecological surgery
- Accountability for driving and supporting evidence generation activities, including:
- Clinical studies
- Real-world data initiatives
- Health-economic projects
- Involvement in medical education programs, symposia, and clinician training
- A dynamic, international environment with opportunities to:
- Influence global and regional strategy for the Gynecological Surgical Solutions (GSS) portfolio
- Engage in cross-functional workshops, stakeholder meetings, and payer discussions
- Frequent travel (~40% time abroad) to:
- Attend scientific congresses
- Participate in educational events
- Conduct site visits in Europe and beyond

Requirements
- Proven experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs within the medical device industry, ideally with a focus on surgical devices
- Experience (preferred) in gynecology or women’s health
- Experience working globally, with an understanding of:
- Differences in clinical practice
- Regulatory landscapes
- Reimbursement systems across multiple markets
- Ability to engage confidently and credibly with:
- Healthcare professionals
- KOLs
- Payer-facing stakeholders on scientific, clinical, and health-economic topics
- Strong analytical skills to:
- Interpret data
- Develop clear, balanced narratives supporting both clinical practice and Market Access
- Disciplined organisation to manage:
- Simultaneous projects and deadlines across diverse markets
- Effectiveness in collaboration with:
- Medical Affairs, Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, Commercial, and Market Access teams
