Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Habitation Technician to work across our vibrant organisation.
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Duration: Permanent
What You'll Do
- Carry out repairs safely and to a high standard across your core trade and additional trades, particularly painting and plastering
- Manage your van, tools, and materials to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and right first time
- Meet productivity and performance targets, monitoring your own results and customer satisfaction
- Identify and report issues in customers homes, including safeguarding and compliance concerns
- Deliver multi-trade repairs in both occupied and empty properties
- Provide a professional, customer-focused service when working with residents and third parties
- Use systems and technology provided to manage work effectively (training provided)
- Work flexibly, including participation in agreed rotas to meet customer needs

What You'll Need
- Experience across multiple trades, particularly painting and plastering, with additional skills desirable (e.g. plumbing, joinery, brickwork, or flooring)
- NVQ (or equivalent) in a core trade with a solid understanding of related trades
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations
- Ability to follow processes, problem-solve and identify when to escalate issues
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Basic IT skills (including Teams) or willingness to learn
