Hair & Makeup Artist (Late Shfits) - Luxury Women's Empowerment Team
At Body & Soul, we create luxury intimate portraiture for everyday women in East London, most of whom have never done a shoot before.
We’ve already guided over 1,900 women through this experience. For many, it’s been the most important, confidence‑shifting thing they did that year.
Our mission is to help women see themselves as powerful, worthy and beautiful in real life and on camera.
This role is built around afternoon–evening studio shifts. You’ll work fixed 8‑hour blocks that typically fall between 1pm and 10pm (for example 1–9pm or 2–10pm), five days per week including most weekends.
If you want to be part of a tight in‑studio team and push your styling craft to a world‑class standard, keep reading.
Your Mission
As our in‑studio Hair & Makeup Artist, you design camera‑ready hair & makeup that feels like the best version of her, hold a calm, safe space from the moment she walks in, and stay on set for the entire shoot. You manage the details (flyaways, shine, wardrobe, subtle posing tweaks) so sessions run on time and she feels supported, confident and truly seen from first brush stroke to final frame.
What You Will Do
Create high‑quality, camera‑ready hair & makeup that enhances each woman’s natural beauty and matches the Body & Soul aesthetic Start and finish every look on time, keeping 2‑hour sessions running to the minute Stay on set and fully engaged for the entire shoot: manage flyaways, shine, wardrobe tweaks, subtle posing adjustments and overall vibe so she feels supported throughout Capture and upload simple behind‑the‑scenes content on your phone that showcases our transformation process without disrupting guests or timing Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism so they feel safe, seen and celebrated Maintain an immaculate, calm, organised station and follow strict hygiene and sanitation standards Learn and embody our signature look library and guest experience standards Collaborate closely with photographers and Guest Experience so studio days run smoothly Within your first 90 days, ramp from supervised support to independently running full styling days and on‑set assistance while hitting our timing, guest‑feedback and BTS standards

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
