Haddington Care Home is a well-established care home in Haddington, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite, and Palliative care for up to 68 residents. With a strong team culture and focus on high standards, the home offers a supportive environment where staff can develop their skills and make a meaningful difference every day.
Hairdresser Contract
- £13.52 per hour
- Contracted to 6 hours per week - One day
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As Hairdresser, you will play an important role in enhancing residents’ wellbeing, confidence, and daily experience. This is a rewarding role where your work brings comfort, routine, and a sense of normality, helping individuals look and feel their best.

- Provide a range of hairdressing services including washing, cutting, and styling, tailored to individual preferences.
- Ensure the salon environment is clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and professionalism at all times.
Working closely with residents and the wider team, you will build positive relationships and deliver a service that supports dignity, confidence, and personal wellbeing.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Hairdresser with relevant experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach
- Good understanding of hygiene and health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and manage appointments
- A reliable and professional attitude
