About the Role
We are recruiting for a Hairdressing Apprentice with a strong foundational interest in hair styling and cutting, or for an experienced stylist looking for career progression.

Responsibilities
(Primary focus: Training and professional development, supporting client satisfaction.)
- Master modern hairdressing techniques under expert mentorship
- Engage in a structured apprenticeship programme covering:
- Hair cutting methods (men’s/women’s)
- Styling (thermal, damp, blow-dry techniques)
- Colour theory (bleaching, toning, balayage)
- Scalp and hair health best practices
- Adhere to high standards of client care with:
- Polite, professional interaction
- Effective troubleshooting for client concerns
- Clear communication between team colleagues
- Maintain workplace hygiene, tidiness, and equipment organisation
- Uphold health and safety regulations in all salon protocols
- Demonstrate reliability and flexibility in a full-time role
Requirements
To be considered, applicants should meet at least the following:
Essential
- Foundational hairdressing/cutting skills or a strong ** qeyd avrın** (keen) interest in the industry, with a willingness to commit to a rigorous apprenticeship.
- Familiarity with:
- Basic hair care principles
- Scalp analysis and treatment recommendations
- Customer service aptitude, including:
- Clear listening/verbal communication skills
- Positive, approachable attitude
- Problem-solving, especially for client expectations
- Proficiency in adhering to salon guidelines and professional standards
- Reliable time management and attendance for a full-time position based at Boldon Colliery
- Commitment to completing a structured apprenticeship training programme

Nice-to-Have (not compulsory, but advantageous)
- Additional qualification(s) in:
- Hair colouring (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 training)
- Men’s grooming (barbering techniques)
- Experience with specific tools: shear technique mastery, weighing equipment, or colour placement software (if applicable).
