The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Halal Certification Auditor to join our growing team. You will conduct on-site and remote audits at food and beverage manufacturing facilities across the UK and occasionally in Europe, ensuring compliance with Halal standards and certification requirements.
No prior experience in Halal certification is required – we provide comprehensive training in Halal principles, auditing techniques, and food safety standards. We are looking for candidates with a strong scientific foundation and the commitment to develop expertise in this specialised area.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Halal certification audits at manufacturing sites, assessing production processes, ingredients, storage, and handling practices in line with HCE and Accreditation Standards
- Review technical documentation and production workflows for compliance with Halal standards
- Prepare detailed, accurate audit reports and respond to client feedback within a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline certification processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in compliance and auditing practices
- Travel regularly to client sites across the UK and occasionally in Europe
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (Essential for site visits)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline including Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields
- Understanding Halal principles and a dedication to supporting the values associated with them
- Strong analytical and observational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Professional approach with cultural sensitivity when working with diverse clients

Desirable
- Previous experience in quality assurance, auditing, or food manufacturing environments
- Understanding of food safety principles (HACCP, GMP, etc.)
