Full-Time Handballer (Devanner) – Permanent Role Location: GXO La Doria, Ipswich – Sproughton Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00–22:00 (productivity-based pay system)
About the Role

GXO is seeking a detailed, organised and safety-conscious Handballer/Devanner to join our La Doria operations in Ipswich. Fluency in safety protocols, teamwork and a focus on efficiency are key—alongside the opportunity to earn above standard market rates and grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Devanning & Handballing: Efficiently unload palletised stock from containers/lorries, minimising breakage and waste using trained techniques.
- Prep Work: Basic wrapping (for optimising system feeds) and consolidation of rejects for rework support.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain adherence to supply chain standards while reporting risks (e.g., damaged pallets, slips/trips) proactively.
- Team Contribution: Collaborate under time-sensitive targets (paid only post-delivery acceptance), completing at least £30k potential with productivity uplift.

Requirements & Skills
✅ Preferred:
- Proven devanning/handballing experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Warehouse operational exposure (e.g., maintaining safety records)
✅ Must-Have:
- Quality mindset—top priority on minimising errors in transfers and restocking
- Excellent communication (written notes/reports + verbal transaction clarity)
- Team orientation—confident working in high-paced shifts as part of a tight-knit crew
- A pts. est. eligibility (British sign-language competence an asset)
