Handyman – Kent Area (On-Site)

Job Role: Handyman (On-Site, Kent Area)
Support our projects by completing general maintenance, basic repairs, and minor installation work related to:
- Wear and tear
- Damp and mould
- Associated fixtures
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across multiple project sites.
- Handle minor installations and alterations, including carpentry, painting, and drylining.
- Inspect and rectify issues related to damp, mould, and general wear.
- Ensure work meets building safety standards and company quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
- Work independently on site with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with the team to support fire safety projects.

Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work, including:
- Basic carpentry
- Painting and decorating
- Minor plumbing and electrical fixes
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Basic understanding of (or willingness to learn):
- Fire door components
- Fire stopping principles
- Building safety standards
- Excellent organisational skills, time management, and accurate recording of tasks.
- Customer-focused mindset, with excellent communication skills for client interaction.
- Physically able to perform tasks such as:
- Lifting and carrying materials
- Working at height (with appropriate equipment)
- Travel between multiple Kent Area (ME2) sites

Qualifications & Licences
- Full, clean UK driving licence (required to travel across the Kent ME2 area).
- Relevant trade certifications or training (essential):
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- Asbestos Awareness
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
(Applicants must live within commutable distance of Me2 Kent area.)
