As a Field Hardware Support Engineer in Robotics, your work will include:

  • On-site support: Handling new system rollouts, hardware upgrades, routine audits, and advanced diagnostics for Packaging & Robotics systems.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partnering with product development, manufacturing, and site-level engineering (Reliability, Maintenance, Engineering - RME) to maximise system performance and quantify impact.
  • Frontline RME troubleshooting: Serving as the primary response team for technical escalations—resolving issues dispersion-wide.
  • Diagnosing & resolving mechanical & systems issues: From electromechanical anomalies to full-system behaviour across mobile, fixed, and Packaging robots.
  • Tool & fixture development: Designing and implementing electromechanical solutions to support existing and emerging product releases.
  • Automation & reliability:
    • Create and deploy proactive safety & reliability monitoring tools to track performance trends.
    • Develop diagnostic frameworks to reduce downtime via predictive troubleshooting.
    • Build preventative maintenance (PM) playbooks and accompanying technician training programs.
  • Training leadership: Leading on-site workshops for RME colleagues, including operator shift handover protocols.
  • Spare parts management: Streamlining inventory systems, RFIs, corrective & preventative workflows.
  • Safety excellence: Leading formal safety assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and risk mitigation across tools, systems, and deployment.
  • Reporting & dashboards: Publishing daily and weekly metrics on product security, dependability, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Voice of the Customer (VoC): Relaying field feedback to product and development teams to drive technical improvements.
  • Travel requirement: Minimum 50% of role involves complex site deployments and support missions—(location flexibility encouraged).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
