Production Controller – Harrier Print

This is an exciting and fast-paced role within our Harrier Print team, responsible for coordinating the production workflow to ensure efficient, accurate delivery of high-quality jobs.

You will work closely with Account Managers, Production Line Managers, and Production Operatives to:

  • Drive quality and reduce waste.
  • Manage stock levels via Tharstern.
  • Provide solutions for high-profile projects and short-turnaround jobs.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Effectively communicate with teams, support staff, and managers.
  • Collaborate closely with all account managers.
  • Support the team to maintain the highest process standards, including quality and workflow.
  • Ensure production adheres to agreed SLAs and timely deadlines for high-level jobs.
  • Deliver work to the agreed quality standard.
  • Actively contribute to minimising waste by running daily waste reports and reporting to line managers where improvements are needed.

Experience and Key Skills Required

  • Proven ability in supervising people and tasks, with experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Full understanding of commercial print.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and Tharstern.
  • Strong quality awareness and focus.
  • Ability to:
    • Give direction and motivate teams.
    • Train and upskill operatives.
    • Lead effectively (leadership).
    • Communicate across multiple departments.
    • Prioritise work and perform under pressure.
    • Organise workloads for themselves and others.
    • Make timely and effective decisions.
