About the Role
Job Title: Hatchery Hygiene Operative
Reports to: Hatchery Manager
Overall Aim of the Job
To clean and disinfect vehicles, trailers, and hatchery equipment.
Key Tasks
- Pressure washing interior of trailers, including fans, removing floor and roof covers, and cleaning all filters
- Emptying day-old chick crates from lorries
- Pressure washing exterior of trailers and units
- Ensuring biosecurity is maintained through the use of chemicals in all cleaning tasks
- Handling up to 4 units and trailers per day
- Moving units and trailers on and off loading bays and around the yard

Requirements
- Possession of a Shunter license (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Previous experience preferred (though training can be given to suitable applicants)
- Ability to work both independently and in a team

Job Details
- Job Type: Permanent - Nightshift
- Hours per week: 39 hours (exact shifts still to be confirmed) Working Times: Approximately 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM, 5 days per week
- Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour
- Location: Remote base, approximately 5 miles from Ipswich
- Own transport is essential
