HC UK Commercial Operations Manager
Job Title: HC UK Commercial Operations Manager
Location: Kingston
Business Context
Home Care UK is a multimillion-pound business and the 2nd largest business group within Unilever UK. Our vision is to be the most admired Home Care company in the UK. This role will lead across Home Care, supporting the development of 3 x 1C Customer Strategy (CSP) Executives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Channel and Category plans for Total Homecare (across Fabric Cleaning, Fabric Enhancing, and Home & Hygiene) to align with commercial targets—including Turnover, Market Share, Gross Margin %, and Gross Profit (£)—across all UK cross-channel customers.
- Build and deliver Go-to-Market (GTM) plans.
- Represent the Customer and Channel in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process, managing short-term forecasts (0–6 months), including in-month delivery, and representing the Category Director (CD) in Demand Review Meetings (DRMs).
- Lead the Home Care Customer Development (CD) community, including managing Customer Account Managers (CAMs) and Customer Business Managers (CBMs).
- Manage customer teams and set/track monthly/half-year targets—such as Unit Shipment Growth (USG)/Transfer Market Innovation (TMI)/Unit Price Growth (UPG) and Gross Margin (GM) targets.
- Partner with the Category Lead to ensure end-to-end (E2E) representation of customer and channel needs.
- Oversee commercial trade-off decisions against strategy.
- Collaborate across marketing, supply chain, NRM (National Retail Management), and finance.

About You
This role requires:
- Essential prior experience in Customer Development (CD).
- Commercial and Channel strategy development and execution.
- Ability to evaluate commercial opportunities and sell ideas across the Six Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, Packaging, People).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with CD and Business Unit (BU) leadership.
- Performance management and S&OP expertise.
- Deep P&L (Profit & Loss) management knowledge with insights into the UK customer landscape.
