About the Role

As an HCM Functional Testing Consultant, you will validate critical Human Capital Management (HCM) processes to ensure system reliability, compliance, and business alignment. This role represents a leadership opportunity within AmpsTek’s elephant portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate End-to-End HCM Processes

    • Test Core HR, Recruitment, Onboarding, Absence Management, Payroll, and Separation workflows.
    • Ensure adherence to real-world business rules and compliance requirements.
  • Execute Functional Testing

    • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios to assess system functionality.
    • Validate business requirements against technical implementations.
  • Verify Configurations & Integrations

    • Test HCM configurations (e.g., workflows, reporting, user roles).
    • Validate integrations with payroll systems, finance, third-party applications, and reporting tools.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve setup defects in complex environments.
  • Manage Defects & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

    • Log, track, and retest defects using a defects-tracking system.
    • Support business users during UAT phases to achieve seamless system adoption.
    • Escalate and resolve priority issues efficiently.

  • Ensure Data Accuracy & Compliance
    • Validate employee records, reports, and security roles for accuracy.
    • Check compliance with data protection, auditing, and regulatory standards.
    • Ensure systems are audit-ready and compliant with best practices.

Personal & Professional Attributes

This role requires independent functional testing with significant responsibility for on-change projects. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in:

  • Functional testing of HR-focused systems (preferably Workday/Adaptive Insights).
  • UX, business workflows, and reporting processes.
  • Conflict resolution without hands-on coding.
  • Environment administration, including test data setup, scripting, configuration, and backups.
