Join the Head and Neck Cancer Nursing Team – Raigmore Hospital, Inverness

Together with cancer care and the NHS, we redefine what’s possible. Are you ready to make a real difference in cancer care? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment where expert nursing truly changes lives?

We’re looking for a passionate, highly skilled, and compassionate nurse to join our Head and Neck Cancer Team, delivering expert support to patients with suspected and confirmed head and neck cancers.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to work within a highly specialist, supportive, and forward-thinking team, playing a vital role in the patient journey. As the cornerstone of care, you’ll provide expert support, continuity of care, and nurse-led interventions during what is often a critical and emotionally challenging time for patients and their families.

You’ll work alongside surgeons, plastic surgeons, oncologists, radiotherapists, dietitians, speech and language therapists, nursing colleagues, and Cancer Support Workers to deliver seamless, coordinated care for patients with head and neck cancers.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will be vibrant, dynamic, and rewarding, encompassing:

  • Active participation in Head and Neck MDT meetings – providing insightful input and recommendations.
  • Leading and developing nurse-led clinics – ensuring personalised care, support, and education for patients.
  • Supporting inpatients and clinic attenders – delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care alongside consultants.
  • Coordinating investigations and referrals – ensuring timely progression through the cancer pathway.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact – offering guidance, support, and reassurance for patients and their families from diagnosis through to recovery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
