Head Brewer/ Lead Brewer with pathway to Head Brewer
With our Head Brewer of five years sadly changing career we’re on the hunt for an experienced and hands-on Head/Lead Brewer to take over. There’s opportunity for an extended handover so we’re looking for the right person and potential rather than a tight criteria of experience. You’ll be passionate about producing the highest quality beer, writing and continually improving recipes whilst guiding the team to make them come true.

Hours:
Full time, 40hrs/wk
Start Date:
As soon as available.
Location:
Near Mitcham Thameslink Station, South London
Key Tasks:
- Own quality on site.
- Production tasks - wort production, cellaring and packaging in split shift pattern.
- Lab work – QC monitoring and sensory analysis.
- Lead, Train and Mentor production team members.
- Take on recipe development and raw material selection over time.

Additional Tasks:
- FLT operation
- Weekend rota for essential checks
Competencies Required/Desired:
- 5+ years brewing, with good supervisory and training experience
- Attention to detail and IT skills
- Ambition and drive to progress into a Head Brewer role if not already there.
- Solid understanding of food safety, HACCP and H&S practice.
