Head of Business Operations Support
Location: Stevenage SG1, Office based

Salary: £40,000, to increase to £45,000 after 6 months successful probation period and subject to performance.
Job Summary
As Delphi continues to grow, we are establishing a Business Operations Support department to sit alongside our existing HR and Accounts departments. The Head of Business Operations Support is a senior role created to provide ownership, coordination, and operational discipline in areas that sit between departments, ensuring work is delivered consistently, tracked effectively, and supported by clear documentation and governance. This role does not replace or duplicate HR or Accounts. Instead, it provides a clear owner for cross-functional operational activity, allowing specialist departments to remain focused on their core responsibilities.
This is a Head-of-Department position, with responsibility for its own remit and delivery.
Purpose of the Position/Role
- To strengthen operational control as the organisation scales.
- To ensure governance, documentation, and audit readiness.
- To coordinate activity that spans multiple departments.
- To provide structure, follow-through, and accountability; and
- To reduce operational pressure on senior leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
