About the Role

In this dynamic and senior role as a Head Cashier, your responsibilities go far beyond processing transactions.

You will provide stewardship over cashier operations, leading by example in security protocols and customer service excellence. Blending financial precision with engaging customer experience, you’ll inspire and empower the team to deliver seamless craft and hospitality—boosting guest satisfaction and upholding company standards.

This position demands a rare skillset: a sharp eye for detail, a flair for engaging every guest, and a committal to operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cashier desk operations, ensuring 100% compliance with Gambling Commission regulations and company security standards
  • Responsible for cash-handling integrity, real-time reconciliations, and process enrichment to reduce loss and improve customer convenience
  • Act with authority on customer disputes, disputes, and suspicious activity—diligently recording transactions per four-eyes principle
  • Direct the team, fostering high performance, continuous skill development, and apprenticeship for upgrades
  • Maintain spotless cashiering best practice, training new recruits on speed, accuracy, and conciliation skills
  • Collaborate with security and night management to maintain controlled access policies and loss prevention strategies
  • Keep abreast of industry trends to implement practical operational improvements that align with guest demands

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience within a casino, retail, or hospitality: first-hand knowledge of customer-facing challenges and team dynamics
  • Current Personal Financial Licence (PFL) issued by the Gambling Commission
  • Demonstrable financial accuracy—existing record of precise cash reconciliation with no recovery delays
  • Confidence managing high-tempo transactions, even under stress; robust calculations Authority to handle small discretionary decisions to resolve issues instantly
  • Current PFL licence issues by the Gambling Commission
  • Passing criminology & dishonesty vetting and reside/legal right to work in the UK
  • British English proficiency (oral and written) for seamless team and guest interactions

Key Expectations:

  • *Flexibility to work nights, weekends, bank holidays— commitment to every shift includes Flexible availability to cover peak spikes while ensuring adequate roster integration
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
