Head Chef | Up to £55,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Head Chef looking to lead a premium hospitality operation where quality, innovation and exceptional service are at the heart of everything you do?
We're looking for a passionate and commercially minded Head Chef to lead a talented kitchen team within a prestigious corporate environment. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of multiple food outlets, create exceptional dining experiences, and drive culinary excellence in a modern, high-profile workplace.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will take overall responsibility for the food production operation, ensuring consistently high standards across restaurant and coffee bar services, hospitality, and VIP events. You'll lead, develop and inspire your team while maintaining exceptional food quality, operational efficiency and financial performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing innovative menus while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Develop seasonal and innovative menus, including costings and planning.
- Deliver exceptional food quality across all food service areas.
- Oversee exclusive hospitality and VIP events.
- Inspire, mentor and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
- Manage recruitment, training and succession planning within the department.
- Ensure food purchasing, stock control and GP targets are effectively managed.
- Drive continuous improvements across food quality, service standards and operational performance.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, health & safety and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to the overall success of the operation.

About You
- Previous experience as a Head Chef within contract catering or a premium hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Experience managing large-scale food operations and delivering consistently high standards.
- Excellent commercial awareness, including budgeting, labour management and GP control.
- Experience creating menus and delivering premium hospitality.
- A passion for fresh food, innovation and customer service.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
