Houston & Hawkes are seeking an outstanding Head Chef to oversee a high-profile site, delivering a dynamic food strategy across retail, hospitality and refined dining. This isn’t just another Head Chef role—it’s an exciting chance to elevate one of their most celebrated London locations.

The Role

  • Lead all kitchen operations—covering retail dining, hospitality, and fine dining
  • Design innovative seasonal menus, emphasising quality, creativity, and sustainability
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team
  • Drive food quality, consistency, and presentation across every service
  • Manage food costs, gross profit, stock control, and kitchen budgets
  • Build strong client, supplier, and stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure exemplary food safety, allergen management, and compliance
  • Continuously refine the food offering, creating memorable dining experiences

Requirements (About You)

  • Tried-and-tested experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
  • Versatile background across hospitality, retail dining, and fine dining
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams
  • Passionate about culinary creativity and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Strong commercial acumen with financial and operational management skills
  • Fastidious attention to detail and comfort in premium environments
  • Eager to lead and develop one of Mayfair’s most prestigious operations
