Head Chef - Hazlemere Lodge, High Wycombe

What’s Required from You?

You’ll need to fulfil the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
  • A background in kitchen management and an understanding of running a professional kitchen
  • Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements (desirable but not essential)
  • Must be available to work 27 hours per week, including weekends
  • Kitchen experience in a care home setting (preferable)

A Day in the Life

This role offers a mix of creativity, collaboration, and responsibility:

  • Menu Planning: Work alongside the Home Manager and residents to develop, propose, and implement menu ideas for our special themed days and events.
  • Understanding Dietary Needs: Ensure residents' specific nutritional and modified dietary needs (including food texture modifications and allergies) are met with care and accuracy.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain a professional and hygienic kitchen environment. You’ll be responsible for:
    • Stock management
    • Day-to-day running of the kitchen
    • Ensuring all hygiene standards are met
