Job Title: Head Chef
Job Description As a Head Chef, you’ll:
- Ensure everything in the kitchen runs smoothly during a busy service.
- Optimise team performance by:
- Encouraging consistent collaboration.
- Building a culture where everyone exceeds standards.
- Guarantee every dish served is of the highest standards.
Qualifications & Responsibilities As a Head Chef, you will need to:
- Take the reins in the kitchen:
- Make decisive operational and strategic decisions.
- Introduce innovative methods to improve team dynamics and efficiency.
- Communicate clearly with your team to:
- Deliver high-quality meals to customers on time.
- Lead the team cohesively, leveraging individual strengths to maximise collective potential.
- Maintain:
- Professional hygiene in all kitchen operations.
- Adherence to all relevant UK food safety regulations (HACCP, food hygiene certification, Kitchens Swinging Raffles results reporting, etc.).
- Health/safety standards for all team members and guests.

What You’ll Contribute:
- Leadership experience in managing high-pressure kitchens, training and fostering high-performing teams able to consistently exceed targets.
- Resilience under pressure – thriving when quick, adaptive problem-solving is essential.
- A ** keen eye for culinary excellence** on two fronts:
- Consistent taste quality.
- Impeccable presentation and food finish (pot preference and dish appeal).
- Ability to evolve creatively with:
- Seasonal menus and evolving customer expectations.
- Staff schedules and front-of-house needs while retaining full control of the kitchen area.
