About Ashlynn Grange Care Home
Ashlynn Grange is an exceptional 153-bed care home in Peterborough. The home prides itself on its surrounding gardens that grow flowers and a variety of vegetables.
The level of care at Ashlynn Grange is exceptional, and all staff work to keep residents entertained with a full programme of activities and live performances on their outdoor stage. A newly refurbished café is available for use by residents and their visitors, serving a variety of fresh tea, coffee, and cakes daily.
About The Role
As the Head Chef at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will oversee the entire catering service within the home.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head Chef seeking their next step. You will be responsible for ** Line management of kitchen teams**, including:
- Rotas
- Appraisals
- Absence management
Salary & Contract
- Salary: £17.71 per hour (£33,120 per annum)
- Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday – Sunday)
- Shift Pattern: No late nights or split shifts; every other weekend off

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure catering services and residential dining experience is of the highest standard and quality
- Manage and lead line management of kitchen teams, including:
- Recruitment
- Appraisals
- Rotas
- Absence management
- Promote choice and dignity for residents through our services, ensuring meals cater for individual dietary needs
- Uphold Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Meal policy requirements
Training, Skills & Experience Required
- Essential:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef
- Advantageous:
- Experience in a care environment
- A track record for leading, empowering, supporting, and motivating teams
- Ability to travel between Peterborough and Bretton Gate locations
