Head Chef – The White Hart (Ember Inns, Mitchells & Butlers)
The Head Chef role at The White Hart will give you the chance to lead, inspire, and make a real difference in our kitchen. As part of the talented team at Ember Inns, you’ll create a kitchen to have pride in every day – bringing passion, innovation, and excellence to every dish served.

About the Role
You’ll be more than just a leader in the kitchen—you’ll be the one who ensures The White Hart sets the bar for restaurant hospitality. Every meal served should reflect this pub’s rugged heart and quality, and you’ll be the one making sure our team shares this passion. From management to menu consistency and compliance, you’ll be critical to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
As Head Chef at The White Hart, you’ll:
- Lead and inspire – Build and train a passionate team that delivers outstanding food quality and guests are loyal to The White Hart for.
- Drive excellence – Work to exceed targets in sales and guest satisfaction, ensuring every visit leaves a lasting impression.
- Manage operations – Oversee all areas of the kitchen, including food ordering, preparation, stock control, and menu execution.
- Uphold standards – Ensure your team follows food safety, health, and hygiene regulations to the highest standard, maintaining quality and safety in every dish.
- Innovate and adapt – Work with an established brand menu, finding ways to keep dishes fresh while maintaining standards.
