- Job Type: Part-time
- Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:45–17:45, Friday 08:45–17:00

About the Role
As a Head Dental Nurse, you’ll:
- Lead the dental nursing team with full responsibility for:
- Staff roта planning & people management
- Materials & stock management
- Coaching Stuдent and Trainee Dental Nurses
- Partner with clinicians to deliver a full range of high-quality dental treatments
- Ensure smooth surgery operations and general practice efficiency
- Contribute to a patient-focused culture that puts smiles first
This role blends leadership with hands-on clinical excellence, delivering exceptional care in a supportive and fast-growing team.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:

Team Leadership:
- Developing, exhibiting and driving the Practice’s high-quality patient care standards
- Overseeing dental nurse role allocations & training
- Travel planning across multiple sites

Clinical Care:
- Chairside nursing support for dentists
- Managing patient rooms to ensure efficiency
- Following strict infection control protocols
- Supporting technicians in lab workflows

Practice Operations:
- Collaborating with the Practice Manager on rota planning
- Administering materials & supplies
- Handling all incoming patient paperwork with accuracy

Staff Development:
- Actively mentoring new and trainee dental nurses
- Participation in training sessions
- Support of the entirety of the dental team’s workload

Requirements
To fulfil this role, you’ll need:

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Dental Nurse (NNEB/NEBDN qualified)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical role

Attributes & Skills:
- Experience managing staff and training
- Passioned about continuous learning & CPD
- High degree of attention to practice and health & safety procedures
- Confident and dependable team player, positive and approachable attitude
