Location: This is a hybrid opportunity based 3 days per week on-site in the Gatwick area.

We are exclusively supporting our client, an investor-backed aviation business, on their search for a Head of Treasury and Finance Operations. They are undergoing significant growth and scaling their financial operations to drive greater efficiency, stronger controls, and future transformation.

This senior leadership role reporting into the Finance Director and oversees all transactional finance activity, including AP, AR, cashflow, banking, and payroll. You will play a key role in strengthening processes, enhancing controls, and supporting an upcoming finance-system transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AP & AR operations, ensuring accurate invoice processing, billing, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee cashflow forecasting, liquidity management, and working-capital performance.
  • Manage day-to-day banking and treasury operations, mandates, and compliance.
  • Act as process owner for upcoming finance-system changes, leading process mapping, testing, and post-go-live stabilisation.
  • Lead AP/AR month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain strong controls, ensure IFRS compliance, and support internal/external audits.
  • Lead and develop transactional finance teams, fostering capability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A to support decision-making and performance.
  • Drive automation, standardisation, and operational excellence across finance operations.

  • Senior-level experience leading transactional finance (AP/AR).
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, working capital, and treasury processes.
  • Experience in finance-system transformation or process redesign.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-development capability.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred; ERP experience advantageous.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is comfortable operating with ambiguity.
