74 Duke is looking for a skilled, charismatic, and passionate Head Host to bring warmth, confidence, and excellence to our front-of-house team.

74 Duke is a beautifully designed space offering an exceptional dining experience, combining high-quality French cuisine with a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere from morning to night.

This exciting venue is one of the latest additions to BVC Hospitality, which operates a portfolio of innovative, globally recognised food concepts, including NAC, Le Cafe NAC, Crème, and Supernova. With a strong presence in London, Paris, and the Middle East, BVC Hospitality is renowned for blending creativity with operational excellence, delivering outstanding dining experiences across multiple markets.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious concept, working closely with senior management to create a standout hospitality experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

As Head Host at 74 Duke, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in setting the tone for their experience. Reporting to the Reception Manager, you will support the host team, manage reservations and the flow of the restaurant, and ensure every guest receives a warm, professional, and seamless welcome.

We are looking for someone with natural confidence, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, calm under pressure, and able to balance guest experience with operational efficiency in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive.
  • Lead and support the host team, ensuring service standards are consistently maintained.
  • Manage bookings, reservations, guest notes, and table allocations using the reservation system.
  • Oversee the flow of the restaurant, coordinating with managers and floor teams to maximise efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest enquiries, special requests, and any issues with confidence, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Maintain an organised and polished reception area at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, floor, and management teams to ensure smooth service.
  • Support with VIP guests, regulars, and special occasions, ensuring details are communicated effectively.
  • Assist with training and developing host team members.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamics and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a Head Host, Senior Host, Reception Manager, or similar role in a high-volume, quality-driven venue.
  • A warm, confident, and professional approach to guest service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using reservation systems.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • A natural leader who can motivate and support the host team.
  • A passion for hospitality, people, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak service times.
