Our housekeeping team looks after our bedrooms, public areas including our restaurants and bars, our members areas, spa, and laundry and uniform facilities.

Head House Porter

About The Ned:

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 248 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting into the Housekeeping Management Team

As a key part of the food and beverage team you will:

  • Look after the upkeep of our whole building, from receiving and distributing deliveries to taking care of all work areas and storages
  • Be a guardian of outstanding hospitality within your team, modelling behaviours, monitoring standards, and providing coaching and feedback where needed
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest and public areas
  • Be an integral part of the housekeeping team, so you’ll be working across all areas as needed to support and assist

What You Can Bring to the Role:

  • Previous experience of supervising or managing a team is beneficial, but experienced porters looking to take their next step are also welcome
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Attention to detail and staying organised are an absolute must
  • A calm demeanour and ability to defuse situations and turn them into a positive is extremely valuable
